The Samsung Approach

Samsung is a household name that people associate with Mobile phones, TV’s and Laptops, but their portfolio stretches beyond this. They look at whats popular and copy and either make it at a lower price point by cutting back in some areas or they add something a little more useful.
Samsung were one of the leaders in reducing the price of LCD TV’s and certainly kept their competitors on their toes, just like they keep Apple on their toes in the Mobile Phone world and are regarded as the only really popular alternative.
Samsung have revolutionised the way printers operate they saw how HP dominated the Desktop market and have taken many of the positives but aimed the price point at a lower rate, with out devaluing the brand in anyway. What you notice is the speed at which they develop their products, If something can be improved, it is done very quickly.
Having worked with Samsung printers we noticed they have subtly improved their products where common complaints are made. This includes: Stronger hinge designs, better quality plastics and larger screens.
The design of the Samsung photocopiers and Samsung Printers make them very user friendly so replacing parts from a end user perspective and a trained engineer point of view are both simple and easy.
The fact that replacing parts is mainly modular in both the small desktop printers and the larger multifunction photocopiers means that servicing is swift and easy. This reduces call out times and keeps peoples machines up and running for longer.
The high number of customer replaceable part modules also make them a great choice for managed print solutions as parts can be quickly changed when the machine requests them without needing a degree in photocopiers (if there even is such a thing!).
The various software solutions in place also mean things like mobile printing and scanning are available to the end user free of charge. This adds a lot of value to the range of machines. While there paid solutions for more complex use and higher demands remain at a very competitive rate.
“Working on a Samsung printer is a real pleasure. It’s logical, and well thought out.” – John M (Join-IT Engineer )
We are sure that many other manufactures in the industry will continue to follow Samsungs approach.
Samsung continue to provide free toner recycling, which is sadly quite rare amounts printer manufactures.
Samsung dealers benefit from having a choice of two main distributers so the supply of parts is not reliant on just one source which with other manufactures can cause problems.
This approach by Samsung is one of the many reason they are one of the manufactures we partner with.
