Ricoh Introduces new Generation of A4 Colour Desktop MFPs

Today, Ricoh announced that they will soon be replacing the widely popular MP-C306 series printers with two brand new machines. The new and improved MP-C307 series printers will improve on many aspects of the older series, while retaining useful features that were present previously.

Ricoh will soon be releasing the MP-C307SP and the MP-C307SPF desktop A4 MFPs internationally, and improvements include:

  • The latest version of the 2nd generation of the award winning 10.1" Smart Operation Panel with an all-new GUI and Smart Apps;

  • 50-sheet Single Pass Duplex Feeder (SPDF) as standard, allowing up to 80ipm scanning speed;

  • Optional Page Keeper - multi-feed detection option which detects when multiple pages are fed simultaneously into the SPDF, alerts the user, and stop the scanning job so the necessary actions can be taken;

  • All-new processor: Intel Atom Processor BayTrail-I (1 core: 1.46GHz), improving print and OCR performance;

  • Will support Apple Airprint (pending confirmation from Apple).

Other highlights include:

  • A 320GB Hard Disk Drive featuring 9x DOSS as standard;

  • Java VM Card as standard, so this is a solutions ready device;

  • HTML5 web browser as standard, built-in to the new Smart Operation Panel;

  • Wi-Fi Direct access built-in to the Smart Operation Panel providing support for mobile printing from Android and iOS Smart Devices;

  • NFC capability for mobile print (further supporting mobile printing from Andriod Smart devices);

  • NFC card reader / writer (option) supports card-based "Quick Authentication" and proximity release (no additional S/W required)

  • Gigabit Ethernet as standard

  • Print, Scan & Copy (Fax is available for MP-C307SP as an option)

The new MFPs are a compact solution, matching the footprint of the preceding models and generate minimal noise as they now feature a new "Silent Mode", where print speed is reduced to 15ppm enabling quieter operation. To benefit environmental and cost efficiency they are designed for energy-saving with low typical electricity consumption (TEC).

Versatile connectivity, colour scanning, document feeding with duplexing as standard, various paper supply options, allowing you to work together to meet any unique needs and workflow, all in a compact, desktop offering for the modern work-group office.
